You can e-file your income tax return using the Free File software if your income is $57,000 or less. On the other hand, you can also file your online tax return using the Free File Fillable Forms. This option is available for any income brackets you are in. If you are a do-it-yourself person and want to do all the work, you can purchase tax preparations software, such as Turbo Tax, online or offline. However, if you find all of these steps time consuming, you can just hire a tax preparer to do the work for you, after which you can electronically file your income tax return.
