Whitley Penn is adding Hanner & Associates, a CPA firm located in Bedford, Texas that is moving into Whitley Penn’s Fort Worth office, effective Jan. 1, 2017.

With the addition of co-founders Glenn and Carre Hanner and their team, Whitley Penn’s Fort Worth offices will have around 300 employees, for a total of more than 400 employees across the firm.

“Whitley Penn is a highly respected firm and we are excited to join the team” said Glenn Hanner in a statement. “This move will provide our clients access to a variety of services and industry experience along with a worldwide network of firms through Nexia International.

Hanner & Associates’ client base revolves around professional service providers, commercial construction companies and veterinary medicine practices, a new practice niche for Whitley Penn.

“We are thrilled to add Glenn, Carre and their team to the firm,” said Whitley Penn managing partner Larry Autrey in a statement. “Their passion for providing exceptional client service and their comprehensive experience in the accounting profession will complement our existing practice as we continue to grow.”

Last week, Whitley Penn announced another merger, adding Wagner Eubanks & Nichols, a firm with offices in Dallas and Austin, Texas (see Whitley Penn adds Wagner Eubank & Nichols).

Whitley Penn ranked 54th on Accounting Today’s 2016 of the Top 100 Firms, with $72.44 million in annual revenue.
