The Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) is once again calling for firms' philanthropic stories as part of their annual “We AAM to Serve” awards.
The awards look to highlight the community service of small (1-99 professionals), medium (100-499), and large (500+) firms across the country to bring to light what "firms did to help their communities, who was helped, and most importantly, what impact was made," per the award's mission statement.
“Philanthropy is important to those in the accounting industry, so much so that firms regularly take time throughout the year to support the communities in a variety of ways,” said Susie Brown, marketing coordinator of Clayton & McKervey and member of AAM’s board of directors, per a statement. “’We AAM to Serve’ is a way for us to help share the impact firms are making every day.”
Entries must include a brief description (less than 1,000 words) of the firm’s efforts over the last year (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31 2016), with up to five photos or videos. Submissions should also include:
· Total number of hours volunteered by the firm.
· Types of community service performed and name(s) of the organizations.
· Impact had on the firm's community.
· Total number of staff members
Winners will be announced at this year's AAM-MAA Awards Reception on June 14 at the 2017 AAM Summit, which coincides with the AICPA’s ENGAGE 2017 event held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Interested firms are asked to fill out the award forms by Friday, March 3, 2017. For more on AAM and the awards, head to the Association's site here.
