Corporate Tax Rates

March, 2015

Corporate tax rates are imposed on the income or capital most companies. In most countries, these taxes are required to businesses that operate or are organised in the country. Determining corporate tax rates are similar to how individual taxes are calculated, usually from the net profit of the company. Like individual taxes also, some corporate actions or entities are exempted from these taxes. It is difficult to determine how much corporate tax rates are charged in each country. In some countries, these tax rates apply on the entity level in certain areas. Generally, however, these taxes apply on the net taxable income of a company. This type of taxable income is similar to an individual’s financial statement but with some modifications and each unit is specified in accordance with the system. These taxes might be calculated differently by jurisdiction. The tax may be substituted by assets, payroll, or income which is computed in a different manner.
